Babies & Beyond is now a proud partner with the Alliance for Period Supplies! Women can receive period products once a calendar month at the Sharing Center.
Period Poverty
Period Poverty is the inability to afford or access period products in order to manage a period. Period products include pads, tampons, liners or other basic hygiene items for feminine health.
2 in 5
2 in 5 menstruators struggle to purchase period products in the United States.
Period products cannot be bought with SNAP or WIC. No mom should have to choose between buying diapers for her baby or period products for herself.
1 in 3
1 in 3 low-income menstruators have reported missing work, school, or similar events due to lack of access to period products.
Lowered attendance at work and school can lead to lower performance and fewer opportunities, reinforcing the cycle of poverty.
